NOMME Bio.

Bio:

Few people in this world are as synchronized with the rythms of the sea as Nomme Mignot.  Born in Panama to a family of oceanic nomads, Nomme’s life and first formative years started in the water; sailing the Pacific Ocean.  His repitoire of waves include surf from the South Pacific, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Australia, Europe, North America, and nearly every wave between Mazatlan and Puerto Escondido, Mexico.  He is truly at home in the water, and as with anything in its natural enviorment, Nomme thrives.  His power and presision are vastly beyond his years and it speaks to his profound understanding of the language of the sea.

Finding a home on dry land in the surf village of Sayulita, Nayarit, Nomme began to hone his skills at a young age alongside some of the top professional surfers in Mexico.  Although not in their wake for long, he was able to craft his skills in the water like that of a seasoned surfer.   His rigorous rail-to-rail surfing became polished with an impecable and flawless style and is what sets him apart from any other 15 year old on the beach.  Aside from sharing the waves with Mexican surfing icons, Nomme has a playful rivalry with his cousin and fellow Oakley France teamate, Diego Mignot.  Together these two are thick as theives and unyeilding in their quest to push themselves forward in the surfing curcuit.

Nomme’s comical disposition and contagious laughter could put anyone in stitches, but it’s the show he puts on in the water where he truly shines.  He is now entering his 3rd ASP pro junior season in Europe and improving his performance with each event.  This year alone he ranked 5th in the world at the DAKINE ISA World Junior Championsihops in Panama (2012), and isn’t done rising to the top.  His thirst for competition is far from quenched and it this ravenous appetite which continues fuels his fire.

When not charming those around him, Nomme is backing up his already high ranking status with consitent victories.  This year alone he won and qaulfied for the Quicksilver French contest  King of the Groms in Capbreton, and now qualified for the   European finals in Ericera, Portugal.  His explosive power and perfected aerials are unwavering and continue secure his position at the top.  Time and time again Nomme is prooving that he is well worthy of being ranked amongst the best surfers in his class.

Nomme’s golden hair and sunkissed skin highlight his already well rounded nature, but it’s his enormous surfing talent that gets him recognition.  He speaks three languagess (French, English & Spanish), and can easily commuincate with anyone, however it’s his actions in the water that speak louder than words.  Nomme is a hidden gem and it is only a matter of time before he makes a sponsor very happy.   He is of a new generation of surfers, one that combines powerful carves and progressive aerials to showcase his unique style.  Nomme Mignot is a name that will continue to transcend the sport of surfing.
